Good to know
Is every word really in the puzzle?
Yes. Each word is placed by a search that tries every legal position, and crossings are only allowed where the letters match. If the words cannot all fit, the page says so instead of leaving any out. The empty squares are then filled with random letters, which can occasionally spell an extra word by chance.
How many words fit?
Up to 8 words on an 8 × 8 grid, 12 on 10 × 10, 16 on 12 × 12 and 20 on 15 × 15, and no word longer than the grid.
